The Urban Challenge Volunteer Centre is a one stop shop for volunteer recruitment in the city of Lincoln, working to support the voluntary sector in Lincoln by offering best practice advice, a network for volunteer co-ordinators and a placement service for volunteers.

Our Vision-

The Volunteer Centre exists to develop Innovative and diverse volunteering opportunities and partnerships to strengthen the voluntary sector in Lincoln
To develop network to support individuals, organisations and volunteers to play an active role in the local community; including best practice workshops and trouble shooting forums for those involved in volunteer management
the centre will develop on going support for volunteers serving in the city and wants to see poeple from all sections of the community engaging in voluntary work

Programmes and Activities-

Volunteer Centre - Lincoln promotes volunteering across the city in order to recruit people to resource the volunteer organistions in the city.
A member of the VC team will then consult with potential volunteers to find out what their interests, skills and experience are in order to match them successfully with one of the 400 organistions based in lincoln that work with volunteers.
The VC then carries out regular follow up to see how the volunteer and organisation are getting along.
The VC supports volunteer co-ordintors in Lincoln to promote best practice in the support and supervision of volunteers.
